Our working principles

The “Frauen helfen Frauen Esslingen e.V.” association works according to autonomous and feminist principles. Existing patriarchal power relationships grant women fewer privileges and less power than men. This makes it even more difficult for affected women to free themselves from violent relationships.

We are committed to self-determination for women, girls and boys, without violence and without discrimination.

Our offers of help are open to women and children of all nationalities. We resolutely oppose any racist tendencies.

Our actions are based on the guidelines of the State Working Group of Autonomous Women’s Shelters in Baden-Württemberg and on the ethical guidelines of the bff (Federal Association of Women’s Advice Centres and Women’s Helplines).
